 The
Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital at Mt. Lavinia was established
in 1988 with the aim of using the ancient healing art of Ayurveda
to cure and prevent common ailments. The Hospital has 24 eminent
Ayurveda Specialists to cater to the needs of both local as
well as foreign patients. The Hospital has both in-patient as
well as out-patient consultancy services.
 This
hospital is the pioneer private Ayurveda Medical and Research
Centre in Sri Lanka which also acts as our research and development
facility with access to extensive rare, natural raw material
grown in various parts of Sri Lanka. The Specialist Consultants
at the Hospital are all reputed Ayurveda Physicians and Professors
from leading Ayurveda Universities and former members of the
Ayurveda Formulatory Committee of the Ministry of Health and
Indigenous Medicine, Sri Lanka.
The Hospital has comfortable
private rooms with and without air conditioning. The facilities
in the first class rooms include T.V, radio, telephone, attached
bathroom and toilet, the facility for another person to stay
with the patient, as well as other facilities that are available
in hospitals. Appetizing meals are prepared and served in
keeping with the dietary recommendations of the Consultant
Ayurvedic Doctors, to suit the individual prakruthi (metabolic)
conditions of each resident patient.
All Ayurvedic medicine, oils, and applications
used at the Hospital are prepared in our own ISO 9001 certified
manufacturing facility under strict hygienic conditions, in
keeping with the Good Manufacturing Practices laid down by
the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medicine of Sri Lanka.
