Dr. Victor
Hettigoda, Chairman, Hettigoda Group, is due to participate
at the 18th International Diabetes Federation Congress
due to be held in Paris, France, from 2003 August. 24-29
to present his finding on his findings on his Herbal preparation
for treatment of Type II Diabetes Mellitus, which has
been accepted by the International Diabetes Federation
as an effective therapy.
This is the first time that a Sri Lankan Ayurveda preparation
has been issued an International Patent for Diabetes,
and a Sri Lankan being invited to present his findings
for a Herbal preparation on Diabetes. |

Aid camp during the Mahiyangana Pageant held to celebrate
Lord Buddha’s intervention in the settlement of
a dispute between two aboriginal tribes - the Yakkas &
Nagas. Annually over 200,000 devotees are treated at this
